No he podido resistirme!

Pues bien llega esa época donde todos hacemos una lista mental de los propósitos del año que viene:
- 1 apuntarme a un gimnasio
- 2 hacer dieta
- 3 dejar de fumar (los que fumen)
y un largo etc .Pues bien yo hay una cosa que no podré nunca cumplir de la lista y es no ver ningún capitulo de urgencias hasta que en USA hayan Finalizado la temporada.

Mi amigo Barry y yo tenemos la misma devoción por esta genialidad televisiva. Y le comente que no había visto nada de la temporada nueva(la 14)y que esperaría a que terminara para verla, pq tanto el como yo necesitamos ver varios episodios seguidos.

Pues nada mi gozo en un pozo, pq no hay nada peor que coger la gripe y morirte de aburrimiento y empezar a darte cuenta que no vas a cumplir tu promesa. Tengo los 8 primeros capítulos, de los cuales en 2 días ya he visto 5.

Hay que decir que hasta el momento los episodios me han parecido de una gran belleza visual(en lenguaje cinematográfico).Las histórias de cada uno de los supervivientes del reparto ,no han perdido fuerza a nivel de guión. Cada día estoy más enamorada del Dr.Morris, que sin su Hope está sumergido en un dilema constante, su cerebro se divide en ser fiel o infile.
Hay un personaje Dr.Moretti, al que vimos en la T13 que es el sustituto de Weaver(por caracter) pero en hombre claro. Este papel está interpretado por Stanley Tucci y ha conseguido conquistarme en tan solo 5 capítulos.
Por lo demás se han cargado a diferentes personajes que tenían mucho juego, estos son: Hope(Busy Phillips), Dr.Barnett(Shane West)y Jennie(Sarah Gilbert) la infermera y estudiante que como ella bien dijo una vez a Kerry y a Abby, que no le hacían ni caso, por lo tanto se cayo del reparto una lastima pq en la T13 dio mucho juego con el insufrible jefe de cirugia Dr.Crustin(parecido a Romano).
A todo esto, no estoy comentando nada del argumento para no destrozar la serie aquellos que aún no han podido visionarla. una recomendación verla cuanto antes y fijaros en un personaje del capítulo under the influence es aprendiz de Rasgotra. Este personaje no tiene desperdicio, como tampoco lo tiene, el peinado de Maura tierney en gravity, un homenaje a la mítica los Angeles de Charlie.

Se dice que esta temporada es la última, y yo digo que aunque ya le toca un final, ya quisieran muchas series llevar 14 temporadas y seguir sorprendiendo, entusiasmando y enseñando al espectador como lo hace emergency room.

Por cierto necesito a Weaver en la 14 es lo único que echo en falta!!!

Noviembre, parece ser el mes elegido para la edición de DVD de la 10ªtemporada.
Ha este paso, tal vez tendremos la temporada 13 a la venta antes de que Tve la desgracie, emitiéndola en horarios imposibles de seguir y demostrando una vez más su falta de gusto y de respeto a esta gran obra televisiva.
En esta temporada veremos entre otras muchas cosas como abby ayuda en el parto de Sandy.

George Clooney lleva el espectáculo prácticamente en los genes. Su padre, Nick Clooney, era un presentador de televisión muy popular en Cincinnati: de niño, George acudía con frecuencia a los estudios para verle trabajar y, si se terciaba, aparecer ante las cámaras. Hijo de showman, y de política, Nina Warren. Tiene una hermana mayor llamada Ada (1958).

Además de su padre, cuenta con varios artistas en sus familia, como es el caso de su tío José Ferrer (ganador de un Oscar al mejor actor en 1950 por el filme "Cyrano de Bergerac"), sus primos Miguel y Gabe Ferrer y su tía Rosemary Clooney, actriz y cantante. Le descubrimos en Urgencias, aunque llevaba casi una década trabajando en series de televisión. No tardó en robar el corazón del público y cautivar a la crítica con films como Oh Brother o Tres reyes. Ahora es una estrella en Hollywood.

Su primera gran pasión no fue la interpretación, sino el béisbol; pero no pudo ver cumplido su sueño de ser jugador profesional.

Descubrió el cine gracias a un primo suyo, hijo del actor Jose Ferrer, que le animó a intervenir en un film con un breve papel. La película nunca se estrenó, pero Clooney se planteó entonces actuar en serio. Además, se ha asociado a Steven Soderbergh como productor: ambos son responsables de Bienvenidos a Collinwood, una comedia negra en la que George tiene un pequeño papel como actor; el thriller Insomnia, con Al Pacino y Robin Williams, y Solaris, protagonizada por Clooney y dirigida por Soderbergh. También ha debutado como director con Confesiones de una Mente Peligrosa, en la que también actúa.

Este año ha estrenado El Buen Alemán, junto a Cate Blanchett. Presentó además la tercera parte de la saga Ocean's, Ocean's Thirteen, en el pasado Festival de Cannes. Se estima que este año estrene Michael Clayton, que protagoniza; y tiene otra película en posproducción. A sus 46 años, a George Clooney le queda todavía mucha carrera por delante...

Like many successful actors, Eriq La Salle's began his acting career on a soap - as reporter Mike Rivers in the daytime drama, "One Life To Live". He appeared in the 1988 comedy film, "Coming To America", before taking on the role of Dr. Peter Benton for the first eight seasons of ER. Since his departure, Eriq's kept a prolific presence in the television and film world, starring in such movies "One Hour Photo" with Robin Williams and in the critically-acclaimed indie film, "Johnny Was (1)". On the small screen, Eriq continues to direct, most recently for Showtime's "Soul Food: The Series" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit".

Parminder es hija de Sikhs, que inmigraron a Inglaterra desde la región Punjab de la India a final de 1960. Su apodo es "Mindi" y su nombre quiere decir "Diosa Suprema, Princesa de las serpientes." Su familia era de la clase obrera. El patriarca de la familia, Sucha, trabajador en una fundidora, se cree que se separó de su madre, Nashuter, una empaquetadora de la fábrica, cuando Nagra era pequeña. Nagra, sus dos hermanos menores, y su hermana menor fueron criados en una pequeña casa (de las que forman hileras adosadas) en el distrito de Belgrave en Leicester por su madre y su padrastro, que trabajaba como contador en la compañía de transporte de su primo.

A los 7 años, Nagra sufrió una quemadura que se transformó en cicatriz y que mostró en 2002 al interpretar el filme internacionalmente aclamado Bend It Like Beckham. Mientras preparaba una comida, una estufa a gas quemaron sus pantalones. Ella fue llevada al baño por un tío que la sumergió en la agua fría. Sin embargo, cuando la tela del pantalón fue removida, tomó la piel con él, provocándole una larga cicatriz en su pierna derecha.

Los años en Londres

Aunque la mayoría de los críticos no se vieron impresionados con el show, la actuación de Nagra fue notable ya que interpretaba a un personaje tradicionalmente blanco, pese a que ella es una mujer de color.

1999 la vió interpretando el papel de una cómoda empleada de una tienda en la película para televisión Donovan Quick, protagonizado por Colin Firth. También apareció en la comedia británica-asiática Goodness Gracious Me and The Kumars at No. 42.

No mucho después del mencionado Fair Ladies at a Game of Poem Cards, Nagra fue seleccionada en 1997 para Oh Sweet Sita, una adaptación de la tradición popular india sobret Rama y su obediente esposa Sita.

Mientras seguía promocionando en Los Angeles la película Bend It, Nagra fue informada por su agente que el poductor de la serie ER, John Wells, fanático de Bend It Like Beckham, estaba interesado en conocerla.

En su primera reunión, Wells le ofreció a Nagra unirse al ensamblado reparto; ella aceptó inmediatamente. Recordando aquel momento, ella dijo, "Tenía que quedarme quieta y actuar profesionalmente, mientras que lo que realmente quería saltar y dar vueltas por la habitación gritando." No mucho después de esa reunión, Nagra firmó por un año de contrato que incluía una opción por tres años más. Pese a su nueva posición, Nagra dijo, "No creo que Hollywood me haya cambiado. La primer cosa que hice al llegar fue comprar harina y lentejas."

Nagra hizó sus primeras apariciones en ER como Neela Rasgotra, una interna del County General Hospital el 25 de Septiembre del 2003 en el primer capítulo de la 10ª temporada titulado, "Now What?" Esta era la primera actriz india en la TV norteamericana que interpretaba a una doctora. Sherry Stringfield was born in Colorado Springs as the oldest of three children, but mainly raised in Spring, Texas. In high school, she did both athletics and acting. Later, she attended the Acting Conservatory of the State New York at Purchase, from which she graduated in 1989 with a B.F.A. While attending the State University of New York at Purchase, she roomed with Parker Posey. During this time, she appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions. After working a short time in a theater box office, she accepted a 3 years contract as "Blake" in the daytime drama "The Guiding Light" (1952). After a short break, spent with traveling, she returned to L.A. to co-star as "Laura Kelly" on "NYPD Blue" (1993).

Stringfield is best known to television audiences around the world as "Dr. Susan Lewis" on NBC's hit medical drama, "ER" (1994), a role which has garnered her three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress on a Drama Series as well as a Golden Globe nomination and a People's Choice Award nomination for Favorite Female Performer. With 112 Emmy nominations over the course of the show's run, it remains a critical and audience favorite.

Her additional credits include the feature films, Autumn in New York (2000) with Richard Gere and Winona Ryder and 54 (1998) with Mike Myers, Salma Hayek and Ryan Phillippe.

When word came through that he had been accepted in the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb, his brother volunteered to take his place in the Army so he could study his craft.

At age 18, he trained during peacetime for basic crowd control and as a paratrooper in the Yugoslavian People's Army (YNA). He ended up fighting in Slovenia, which proclaimed independence, when the YNA was ordered to attack this now former republic within the federation Yugoslavia. When Goran's tour of duty was done (by the time of his return, Croatia had declared their independence), the Serbian fraction of the YNA was already fighting the Croatian fraction in a civil war. He volunteered to join the new Croatian Army, breaking his own promise to himself never to pick up a gun again.

Appeared in an anti-fur billboard campaign for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals with his dog, Bugsy, beginning in January 2003. The ads read: "If you wouldn't wear your dog, please don't wear any fur." The campaign was PETA's first in eastern Europe.

Edwards nació en Santa Bárbara (California). Sus padres son Erika Planck, una artista, y Peter Edwards, un arquitecto. Laura Elizabeth Innes (b. August 16, 1959, Pontiac, Michigan) is an American actress and director.

Laura Innes was introduced to professional theater by her father, who frequently took the family to the Stratford Festival of Canada in Stratford, Ontario. Following his advice to "do what you love", she attended Northwestern University where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority and earned a degree in theater.

Her first stage credits were in Chicago at the renowned Goodman Theatre, where among other roles she played Stella opposite John Malkovich's Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire. Other major stage credits include Two Shakespearean Actors with Eric Stoltz at Lincoln Center, Our Town at the Seattle Repertory Theatre, and Three Sisters at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego.

In the 1990s, Innes guest-starred on television series such as Party of Five, My So-Called Life, and Brooklyn Bridge and appeared in the Emmy-winning cable movie And the Band Played On before being cast in her first major TV role as Thomas Haden Church's promiscuous ex-wife Bunny on the NBC comedy series Wings from 1991-1993.

In 1995, she joined the hit NBC medical drama ER, where she was cast as the skilled but abrasive Dr. Kerry Weaver. In 2001, her character, who had a physical disability, came out of the closet, and therefore went on to become a positive role model for both the physically-challenged and the GLBT communities. She received two Emmy Award nominations for her portrayal, as well as three Screen Actors Guild Awards as part of the “ER” ensemble, and has received five nominations for Best Supporting Actress from Viewers for Quality Television. Innes also directed several episodes of the series, as well as episodes of House and The West Wing, one of which earned her an Emmy nomination for directing.

In January 2007, Innes left ER after twelve seasons.

In film, Innes has co-starred with Téa Leoni, Morgan Freeman, and Vanessa Redgrave in the blockbuster film Deep Impact and with ER castmate Noah Wyle in Can’t Stop Dancing.

Her first fiance was murdered in the early eighties. A few years after the tragedy, she married actor David Brisbin and gave birth to their son, Cal in 1999. They have since adopted another child, Mia, from China.

Laura Innes Reveals Why She's Leaving the ER

It's goodbye to the last remaining — well, almost — original ER cast member. Tonight Kerry Weaver hangs up her scrubs and leaves Chicago's County General for warmer climes (Florida) to deliver medical news for a prestigious TV station. Laura Innes, who has played the irascibly endearing doc for 11 and a half seasons, gives us the dish on why she needs an abrupt exit, her years on the long-running hit show, and what she's up to next.
TVGuide.com: Say it ain't so! After nearly 12 years, Dr. Kerry Weaver's leaving County General for good?
Laura Innes: Yeah. There's some talk of her coming back a little bit next year, but we'll see.

TVGuide.com: In what way?
Innes: There's an idea about integrating her new job on the medical show into a story line. Part of that thinking had to do with the fact that next year would probably be ER's last year, but the show's doing so well, I don't know what's going to happen.

TVGuide.com: The producers kept your departure awfully quiet. Everyone went, 'What?" when Weaver was fired. Why so under-the-radar?
Innes: We decided to just have it be a surprise. It may not have been a smart decision, but it was good storytelling — making it happen the way it might in real life.

TVGuide.com: It was left a little vague last week. My colleague's daughter, who's a major fan, said that after watching she thought that maybe you'd still be around in some way.
Innes: Nope. I'm in this week's show and have a couple more meaty goodbye scenes to wrap it up. I'm basically doing cleaning-out-my-locker kind of stuff. So one more [episode] for me, and as I said, there's talk about maybe a couple next year, but I [told them], "We'll see if that feels right."

TVGuide.com: Why are you leaving in the middle of the season?
Innes: There are other big stories happening and... Aaron Sorkin just walked in the room. I'm so sorry, I have to talk to my boss for a minute. [Innes calls back five minutes later.] I'm directing a Studio 60 episode for him.

TVGuide.com: Already moving on. Sounds like some other ER characters could be leaving at the end of the year?
Innes: That's a possibility. There are a lot of discussions with the actors about what they want to do. They felt, in case there does end up being another departure, that they wanted to wrap me up early.

TVGuide.com: How long has your departure been in the works?
Innes: About a year ago we talked about it. For the past couple of years, I've been doing half episodes, and I have a directing deal with [ER creator] John Wells. So I've been easing off the acting. This summer we talked about what was going to take place.

TVGuide.com: Whose idea was it for you to make your exit?
Innes: It was kind of mutual — one of those things where it just feels like you're running out of steam. It's awfully hard to leave this show, though, because it's such an incredible joy. But it seems like [it's] time, doesn't it? I just told them, "I don't want to be sick or die." I didn't want to send this message that this woman who had this history of disability and is gay — now we're going to kill her off. I said, "Let her have a happy end." So I'm happy about that.

TVGuide.com: Is that why Weaver had an operation and finally threw away her crutch?
Innes: It did feel like the character was shedding some of her hardness and moving on in her life.

TVGuide.com: You're not kidding. She gets a glam TV job and a gorgeous girlfriend to boot.
Innes: I know. Weaver must be so good in bed! All of her girlfriends are so hot. I definitely raised the bar in the lipstick-lesbian category.

TVGuide.com: Speaking of hot girlfriends, do you watch Elizabeth Mitchell, who played your first female lover, on Lost?
Innes: Isn't she great? You never know which way she's going to go. [Her character] is this creepy, beautiful lady.

TVGuide.com: Over the years, Weaver has been portrayed as abrasive, prickly, intensely ambitious and disloyal. Was playing a bitch fun?
Innes: I didn't see her so negatively, because if I did, I might have played her as an evil person. But I remember early on, being in a department store and hearing a woman say, "Oh, I just want to slap her!" That's when I realized this character is going to drive everybody crazy. She's the boss from hell, which was fun to play. But just at the point where you'd want to shoot her, they'd plop in poignant story lines where she'd show empathy, like when I signed with this deaf little girl.

TVGuide.com: Do you think it was brave of you to play her bitchy when she was also a role model for the disabled and lesbian communities?
Innes: [Laughs] A bitchy role model. But you know what? If I had to choose a doctor, it would be Weaver. Her bedside manner is sometimes lacking, but at least she'd save me.

TVGuide.com: Was there a real responsibility being that two-for-one role model?
Innes: For the disabled community, it was a mixed thing. To have somebody who's disabled be a very strong, capable person is great, but I'm not actually disabled, so it was this kind of back-and-forth. But I did always feel a responsibility. I said to the writers, "It's OK if I'm the hard-ass, but I hope you always show her being compassionate, because I represent this large group of people."

TVGuide.com: And then Weaver came out. How was the reaction?
Innes: It explained her avoidance of a personal life. That was my favorite story line. I feel that the producers and NBC didn't really get enough credit, because it was a big deal to have a main character on a mainstream show come out. Some viewers were not happy with that, and my friends said, "People will assume you're really gay." Everyone should get over it. A lot of people do think I'm gay. But for that character, what could have been more interesting to do?

TVGuide.com: You're a married mom of two. C'mon, aren't you sorry you never got to kiss George Clooney or Goran [Visnjic]?
Innes: How do you know I didn't?

TVGuide.com: Did they throw you a big party?
Innes: Yes. Everybody came. It was Dec. 6, my last day, after an emotional goodbye scene I had with Maura [Tierney, Abby], who has become a close friend in real life. They put together a reel of scenes and outtakes and because I'd been on the show so long, it was a long reel. They also gave me a framed copy of my very first call sheet. I was something like No. 47 on that — and the past two years, I've been No. 1. It's like I clawed my way to the top of the call sheet.

TVGuide.com: How Weaverish of you. So is it Laura Innes, director, from now on? You've directed ER, House and now Studio 60.
Innes: I'll definitely keep acting if anything interesting that's not like Kerry Weaver comes along, some hot old chick.... I won't wear a lab coat, and I never want to say, "Pass the CBC Chem 7" again. I would like to do some comedy. I love The Office.

TVGuide.com: There are so many former residents of ER out there. Do you ever hang out?
Innes: There are! We could start our own show — an alternative universe version of ER. I keep up with Julianna [Margulies] and Gloria [Reuben] and I see Tony [Edwards] once in a while.

TVGuide.com: Any last words to your fans of 11 and a half years?
Innes: I would just say, "Thank you, thank you, thank you for watching. I have had a blast."

Meanwhile, at the wedding, ER staffers enjoy themselves with music and booze while Neela finds herself the center of unexpected attention between Gates and Ray, which leads to a drunken fight and a shocking conclusion.

A GI patient baffles Morris and Sam. Also, Kovac postpones the honeymoon and says goodbye to Abby and his son, for the meantime, while he travels to Croatia to visit his ailing father.

As the injured arrive at the ER from the anti-war rally, Gates (John Stamos) frantically tries to find out what happened to Neela (Parminder Nagra). Later, Gates takes matters into his own hands when he finds out that a patient was responsible for the explosion at the rally.

Season 14, Episode 2: In a Different Light

Patients include a Pregnant teacher whose student/lover was critically injured while driving; a man who is hiding a gunshot wound and a brilliant young boy who knows he is dying, but hides it from his mother. Dr. Moretti continues to remake the ER to his liking, Nila is recovering, Luka's absence is reinforced (back in Croatia and not coming back) and Sam may be starting a new relationship with a police officer.
